Report from National Grid – The visual impact project at Roundway Pylon removal update

National Grid were hoping to take the Pylons down soon but have been delayed as they have been informed they are not allowed to connect the new underground cables to the network until a new shunt reactor comes online at Taunton which won’t happen till September, They therefore hope to take the pylons down around November time, in the meantime they are going to start some of the reinstatement works.
