Hello, my name is Deni Durant, and I’m delighted to be joining Rowde Parish Council as the new Parish Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer.
I’m really looking forward to getting to know the village and its residents much more closely and becoming a part of the Rowde community. I bring with me a strong background in finance, with experience across public, education and commercial organisations. I am AAT qualified and have extensive experience in areas including budgeting, financial reporting, bookkeeping, governance and administration.
I am really looking forward to getting stuck in and supporting Parish Council in its work for the local community. I hope to bring a friendly, organised and approachable attitude to the role, together with the attention to detail and financial experience needed to ensure the Council’s finances and administration are managed accurately and effectively.
Outside of work, I’m a mum to my six-year-old son, so life is certainly kept busy! We enjoy getting out and about, and I love travelling and discovering new places. When I have some quieter time, you’ll usually find me baking in my kitchen or, weather permitting, exploring the beautiful Wiltshire countryside on foot.
I’m very excited to be starting this new chapter in Rowde and hope to meet many of you over the coming months. Please do say hello if you see me around the village — I’m looking forward to becoming a familiar face and playing my part in the Rowde community.
